This portal is going to be made from scratch, but this topic is just a simple review of what has inspired me to make the portal.

Well if you wanna make a new portal from scratch then this website will come in handy ( http://themeforest.net/ ) has allot of resources like pre-made admin templates Layouts and much more to make the process allot faster.
Of-course before you even start on a new CMS you have too look around and see How and What the other CMS's are coded and structured, features and capability's . So don't think ppl that you can simply go and make a Admin and a Front page and you are done no there is allot allot allot more to it then that!

So if you ppl are serious lets gather a Team get together sit-down in some chat room or Ventrilo or TS and start discussing it decide who can do what and how we should plan the process, gather info and make decisions on what way we can code it and so on and so on,

Then once the Initial process is done figuring out what we want to make and how,
then we can start giving the Project a name and all that!
But lets start gathering All kinds of Coders, Designers, Documentation writers, and so on, because to make a CMS you will need all of these skills listed below!

    CSS
    HTML
    Javascript
    PHP
    MySQL
    XML
    (Framework developer!)
    Security
    Photoshop (designers)

and probably even more!

i hope this made you all aware how much time and effort its going to take to make this project!

I know CSS and theme designing, but never used Photoshop so that may come in handy.
I know how to write documents ofcourse as I am going to college soon :P.
Security is going to be needed, framework would also be handy for organization and better understanding.
MySQL, that probobly would be easier to get a worker from a host to do :D.
PHP, XML, and HTML would be easier to understand, Javascript would be challenging as I never looked into it.

But before we continue, can you all post in the AEF DYNAMIC PORTAL thread, and we may be able to change the name around, etc...

I can give you a C1.2.2 upgrade for security reasons as this may take some time as there are no support so far.

Hi,
yes, official MKPortal Development is dead (or sleeping?)
And mkportal license prohibit to use core files for own development.

But latest version C1.2.2 is very stable.
So it should be possible to use latest AEF versions with current mkportal with some modifications.

I have done this for MyBB1.14 and vBulletin 4 (Rc4)
There is also a new connector for IPB3.

Downloads of Manual and Connector is available on www.mkportal-support.de.
