I Own You ALL 		Here are some bugs I have noticed on my site which uses AEF.
AEF is great but it has a few bugs which need to be sorted out and here they are:

1. Editing Problems - When you post something but then you need to edit it so you press the edit button and go to edit it. When you do that you can't delete stuff until you add a smiley or press the space bar and this is really annoying and minor but should be fixed.

2. Posting Problems - When someone copies something and then pastes it and then tries to post in AEF their post gets all messed up. Whenever I do the same thing same thing happens like my post gets all distorted and isn't properly formatted anymore and so on. This problem is really annoying my members and they would really appreciate it being fixed sooner then later so please fix this soon.

3. Shout box Problem - The smilies that we enter can only be entered in the middle of a shout and if you try to enter a smiley at the end of the shout then it wont' work and the code is just there. This is very minor but it gets people guessing why the smilies work sometimes and why they don't other times.

Also there is one more thing. The following isn't much of a bug but should be fixed as well and added to AEF. So here it is:

When someone posts in a sub category the latest post doesn't display in the main category on the main page and only the sub category gets bold but that is actually nice. You should just make it so that any new post inside any topic in a category to show up as the latest post in the main category.

So I hope these bugs are fixed soon cause I really need to fix them on my board for they are annoying my members.

http://streetzone.info/ 		1. Don't use the WYSIWYG editor.

3. Theres an option to remove the space boundaries which cause this, pretty sure at least.

Also to last thing, thats coming in this next version or after that I believe.

Head of AEF Themers 		Some aren't what you would call bugs for that matter they just need different options and settings to work properly.

Oh and what is the deal with the WSIWYG Eidtor?
Oh and how do I make the other editor default if there is one?

Oh and can you tell me how to get rid of that space boundries thing cause I don't have any clue what option you are talking about.

Oh and I hope that the last thing comes out in next version.

Head of AEF Themers 		To get rid of the WSIWYG Editor you just have to disable it in the Admin CP.

I Own You ALL 		Ok thanks for your help.

But I think that the WSIWYG Editor is much much cooler and it shout be kept. So what I am saying is that even though there is a way around my problem this editor should be fixed. Once the WSIWYG Editor is fixed the Editing and Posting problems will be gone leaving the shoutbox problem to remain but as Random said it will be fixed in future versions so then all of this will be fixed.

Oh and there Is also another bug that I noticed which is with this site as well. So here it is:

Whenever I click another link to go to my site and if I am logged in then it shows me as not logged in until I click the button or a banner or something. After that it automatically logs me in. To explain this further here are a few example.

Example #1. Every time I come onto this site it shows me as not logged in and I get the "Guest" Group Message and everything. Then I click the banner and all of a sudden I am logged in.

Example #2. Whenever I click a link to this site say from someone's signature I get the same thing going on in Example #1 until I click something like the banner and what not.

Head of AEF Themers 		TBH I don't like the WSIWYG editor at all. Can't see if it's changing your text colour or not.

And for the second thing it happens to me sometimes but I've never tried clicking the banner.

I Own You ALL 		Yeah but my point is that some people do like the WSIWYG editor because they find it easier to use, myabe cause they aren't familirar on how to use the other one and what not.

So the problem with this edior should still be fixed because it is there and some people may like to use it.

Oh and the same goes for the other problems.

We are working on improving the WYSIWYG.
Most of the WYSIWYG problems are in FF.

Can you be more specifc. Where in the Admin CP do I turn off the WSIWYG editor. Checked search by the way and WSIWYG is only mentioned twice and no detail on how to turn it off.

Local / private text here 		Admin > Edit Theme Settings > Posting > untick the wysiwyg editor selection

My forum user is having the same posting problems intermittently. I'm running ver 1.0.8 and still having such problems. wonderingwhen will it  fixed.

It's true the  Editor Does have this problem, Everybody in the AEF
community knows that.  They might need to edit this two directories:





themes/default/js/texteditor.js

themes/default/texteditor­_theme.php



Might need to edit one more file.

ps. 



I don't have the time, but hopefully somebody can fix it.
